Located in historic downtown Tucker GA, Main Street School of Art is a place where fun, creativity, and academia come together to give a well-rounded approach to art. Class size is small, we use a wide range of materials and art supplies, and we promote the importance of recycling by incorporating natural materials into our art classes.

We provide art classes for grades K-12 that cater to a home school curriculum, after-school classes, Mommy-and-Me toddler classes, and adult art classes. We also provide Summer camps.

Founder Laurie Morrison believes that early creative learning experiences are important and gaining art skills can have a real impact on children’s personal lives that goes beyond an art role. Some researchers say that art is the “fourth R”. Art classes foster creative and divergent thinking capacities, self-expression, gross and fine motor skills, imagination, problem solving, social skills, listening, tolerance, risk taking, and uniqueness — as well as it empowers a child’s self-esteem. Children love making things that mean something, and being good at art gives children a sense of self confidence that is carried with them throughout the rest of their lives.
